Arrest Log

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Wednesday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Anderson police arrested Jacob W. Hammitt, 21, of the 3900 block of Hoosier Woods Court, Anderson, at 1:34 a.m. Wednesday. No bond was set on a charge of Class A misdemeanor probation violation.

Madison County sheriff's deputies arrested Miranda L. Chrisman, 34, homeless, at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000 on a charge of Class D felony theft.

Edgewood police arrested Nathaniel F. Johnson, 34, of the 400 block of West 11th Street, Alexandria, at 1:48 a.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000 on a charge of Class A misdemeanor domestic battery.

Anderson police arrested Thomas J. Dysart, 56, of the 1700 block of Costello Drive, Anderson, at 2:06 a.m. Wednesday. No bond was set on a charge of Class A misdemeanor battery.

Anderson police arrested Leo J Stapleton III, 19, of the 1700 block of Main Street, Anderson, at 2:12 a.m. Wednesday. No bond was set on charges of Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, Class A misdemeanor illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and Class A misdemeanor violation of probation.

Anderson police arrested Jeremy M. Nave, 23, of the 2400 block of Delaware Street, Anderson, at 6:06 a.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000 on charges of Class D felony maintaining a common nuisance, Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Class D felony dealing in marijuana.

Anderson police arrested Gordon T. Schreiber, 32, of the 1700 block of Jefferson Street, Anderson, at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday. No bond was set on charges of Class A misdemeanor domestic battery and Class A misdemeanor invasion of privacy.

Anderson police arrested Richard Williams Sr., 45, of the 1100 block of West 13th Street, Anderson, at 1:22 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set on a charge of Class A misdemeanor invasion of privacy.

  • NWS - HB0408 - Crash Sperrys 2 Family, friends bid farewell to Jesse Sperry

    The fussing of 10-day-old Autumn Marie Sperry seemed to coincide with the beginning of the funeral service for her father, Jesse Sperry, whose body rested just a few feet away. More than 200 friends and family members gathered at Edgewood Baptist Church this afternoon to pay their respects to Jesse, who was killed April 6 in a traffic accident on Indiana 32.
