MCHS to do nail, microchip clinic

ANDERSON — The Madison County Humane Society will be at Walmart from 1 to 5 p.m. today doing a nail/microchip and heartworm test clinic. Fees will apply.

They will be located in the tent in the outcove between the two main doors.

AARP schedules activities

ANDERSON — Anderson's AARP Chapter will meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Perkins Restaurant.

The chapter's regular monthly meeting will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, at the First Methodist Church at noon. Roger Hensley of the Madison County Historical Society will be the guest speaker, discussing the "Interurban."

Reservations are still being taken for the chapter's trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and the Smoky Mountains, Sept. 23-27. Cost is $449 per person, double occupancy.

Uniform sale at Hancock Regional Hospital

GREENFIELD — The Hancock Regional Hospital Guild is hosting a TJ Uniforms sale on Monday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Classroom 3 in the lower level of Hancock Regional Hospital.

Plenty of scrub tops, pants and shoes will be available. Cash, check, or credit cards accepted.

Visit with Brooks and staff Tuesday

ALEXANDRIA — Congressman Susan W. Brooks will host "Connect with your Congresswoman One-on-One" on Tuesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Ivy Tech North Conference Center, 6061 Indiana 9 North, Alexandria.

Constituents are encouraged to visit with Brooks and her staff in an open house format.

Free senior movie moved to Sept. 9

ANDERSON — The free senior movie typically shown at the Anderson Mounds Mall Theatre on the first Monday of every month will be on Monday, Sept. 9 this month, due to the Labor Day holiday. The movie will begin at 10 a.m.

Free refreshments will be provided for all in attendance, and door prizes will be given away after the show.
