AARP chapter announces upcoming events

ANDERSON, Ind. — Anderson’s AARP Chapter will have its regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Monday, May 13, at First United Methodist Church, 1115 Jackson St. The program will be by Madison County Historian Stephen Jackson, who will present Part I of “Madison County History Trivia."

On May 18, the chapter is sponsoring another dance for seniors from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rangeline Community Center. Buddy Patterson will provide the music. Cost is $6 per person, with a dollar discount for AARP and RCC members.

Chapter annual dues for 2013 ($5) are now due. Individuals belonging to the national AARP are invited to join the local Chapter.

Reservations are being taken for the local chapter’s trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and the Smoky Mountains, Sept. 23-27. Cost is $449 per person, double occupancy.
