Lapel variety show set for Saturday

LAPEL, Ind. — The annual Lapel High School Variety Show will be staged at 7 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium. The show will feature all of the performing groups in the high school. Included will be the high school band, Jazz Band, Show Choir and Concert Choir.

Popular music will be presented in many forms with “variety” being the main ingredient. The show choir boys will perform their popular version of “Men In Tights” and other groups and individuals will offer other renditions of pop music by current singers. Several small groups and solos will be featured in front of the curtain between the large ensembles to keep the show moving at a rapid pace. The high school choir will dance and sing to a medley titled “Disney on Stage.” Guest emcee will be Barrett Key, a teacher at Lapel High School. He will also join the combined high school choirs as soloist on one number.

There will be an intermission with refreshments sold.

Admission for adults is $5 and $3 for students. Children under school age will be admitted free.
