ANDERSON, Ind. — An autopsy is expected to be performed today on the body of an Anderson woman who died of injuries she received a one-vehicle accident.

Dallas Robertson, a 21-year-old Anderson woman, died at Anderson Community Hospital at 11:43 p.m. Friday after she was ejected from the 1998 Chevrolet Blazer during the wreck, said Madison County Coroner Marian Dunnichay.

According to police reports, the Blazer, driven by 25-year-old Nicholas Clevenger of Anderson, left the road in the 3600 block of West Eighth Street at about 10:55 p.m.

Anderson Police Department spokesman Joel Sandefur said the case is being investigated but it’s possible drugs or alcohol were involved. He said it’s also possible the vehicle was speeding.

“That part of Eighth Street is very narrow and curvy. I’m not sure if that played a part but it’s worth noting,” Sandefur said.

A blood test, which is standard procedure after a fatal wreck, was administered to Clevenger. Sandefur said the results will be known Sunday. He also said APD is working with a vehicle data expert at the Noblesville Police Department to try to determine how fast the Blazer was traveling.

Dunnichay said zn autopsy will be performed on Robertson’s body today at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
