ANDERSON, Ind. —
Tyler Roahrig, a driver who was hurt in an accident Friday at Anderson Speedway, underwent successful surgery to repair his injured arm and leg.
Roahrig was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after his throttle stuck during a practice run and his car crashed into safety barrels on Turn 3.
Rick Dawson, president of Anderson Entertainment, which owns the speedway, said Roahrig had a metal plate inserted into his left arm and a rod inserted into his left leg to help stabilize the injuries. The Mishawaka native is expected to make a full recovery but will be kept at the hospital for a few days.
