INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Gaming Commission will discuss whether to approve the takeover of Shelbyville’s Indiana Grand Casino and Downs by Indianapolis-based Centaur Holdings, LLC.

Centaur also owns Anderson’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino.

They’ll meet Thursday in the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis.

In December, Centaur got approval from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission to transfer permits and licenses from the bankrupt Indianapolis Downs LLC. That’s provided it fulfills a list of conditions, including adding 300 horse stalls over two years and give the IHRC final approval.

Centaur needs approval from both the horse racing and gaming commissions to continue.

In September, a Delaware bankruptcy court judge approved a deal allowing Centaur to buy the racino for about $500 million and take over its liabilities.
