Arrest log: Jan. 18

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

  • Anderson police arrested Jonathon D. Boyd, 20, of the 800 block of Indiana Avenue, Anderson, at 9:46 a.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of South Scatterfield Road, Anderson. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor conversion.
  • Madison County police arrested Jason D. Lafever, 35, of the 900 block of South 4th Street, Noblesville, at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday in the Madison County Jail. No bond was set for Class D felony violation of work release and Class D felony in another jurisdiction.
  • Anderson police arrested Bradley R. Looper, 19, of the 600 block of East Mill Street, Fortville, at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 6600 block of Scatterfield Road, Anderson. Bond was set at $2,000 for Class C misdemeanor illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and Class A misdemeanor in another jurisdiction.
  • Madison County police arrested James P. Peavler, 27, of the 1100 block of West 39th Street, Anderson at 4:48 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for Class C misdemeanor contempt of court and Class D felony in-home detention violation.
  • Anderson police arrested Travis L. Spencer, 34, of the 2500 block of East 6th Street, Anderson, at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday in his home. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor invasion of privacy.
  • State police arrested Tausha R. Avery, 34, of the 2000 block of East 5th Street, Anderson, at 1:24 a.m. Thursday in the intersection of 21st Street and Noble Street, Anderson. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, Class A misdemeanor operating while intoxicated, Class A misdemeanor driving while suspended and Class A misdemeanor violation of probation.
  • Anderson police arrested Mark B. Hodson, Sr., 52, of the 4500 block of Columbus Avenue, Anderson, at 1:25 a.m. Thursday in the intersection of 14th Street and Central Avenue, Anderson. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony operating while intoxicated.
  • Elwood police arrested Bryan J. Watters, 34, of the 12700 block of Elwood, at 1:56 a.m. Thursday. Watters posted bond of $3,000 for Class A misdemeanor driving while suspended.
  • Anderson police arrested Krystal L. Breaux, 41, of the 2200 block of Columbus Avenue, Anderson, at 4:05 a.m. Thursday in the intersection of 14th Street and Walnut Street, Anderson. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony theft.
  • Madison County police arrested Fred A. Guthrie, Jr., 48, of the 1200 block of West 8th Street, Anderson, at 3:58 a.m. Thursday in the intersection of 25th Street and King Boulevard, Anderson. Bond was set at $5,000 for two counts of Class A misdemeanor operating while intoxicated and Class B misdemeanor public intoxication.

Brian Bell, who lost the Democratic Party’s nomination for sheriff by 48 votes to Scott Mellinger, raised allegations to the election board during a hearing Friday.
