Police: Pendleton woman charged in marijuana-by-mail scheme

GREENFIELD — A Pendleton woman was among 11 people allegedly involved in a marijuana-by-mail scheme, Hancock County sheriff's deputies said Tuesday.

Robin Armstrong, 40, was charged with dealing marijuana, conspiracy to deal marijuana and two counts of possession of marijuana. Investigators said they tracked a U.S. Postal Service delivery, reportedly of marijuana, from Greenfield to her house in the 1000 block of Pendleton Avenue in September.

Investigators said shipments of marijuana were sent from Redding, Calif., to Greenfield. They tracked 13 shipments, with the average shipment weighing 9 pounds.

The Madison County Drug Task Force assisted in the investigation.
