Arrest Log: May 24

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

  • State police arrested Justin A. Martin, 31, of the 2900 block of Dakota Drive, Anderson, at 4:11 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $10,000 for Class C felony nonsupport of a dependent child and Class C misdemeanor failure to appear.
  • Madison County police arrested Devin R. Ford Sr., 49, of the 1500 block of Cedar Street, Anderson, at 5:11 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor failure to appear.
  • Madison County police arrested Chase M. Finley, 22, of the 1400 block of West Second Street, Anderson, at 5:16 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for Class D felony failure to appear.
  • Elwood police arrested William K. Farr, 28, of the 2000 block of South J Street, Elwood, at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $465 for Class A misdemeanor failure to appear and a Class A misdemeanor in another jurisdiction.
  • Anderson police arrested Larry W. Smith, 59, of the 2600 block of Halford Street, Anderson, at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor invasion of privacy.
  • Anderson police arresed Kiely A. Stephenson, 26, of the 1600 block of Edgewood, Anderson, at 10:23 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony OWI, Class A misdemeanor driving while suspended and Class D felony possession of a syringe.
  • Alexandria police arrested Dawn Michelle Hoggard, 37, of the 1500 block of North Harrison Street, Alexandria, at 4:31 a.m. Thursday. Bond was set at $1,250 for Civil contempt of court.
  • Anderson police arrested Thomas L. McLaughlin, 53, of the 1900 block of Walnut Street, Anderson, at 5:02 a.m. Thursday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor domestic battery.
  • Elwood police arrested Britni Rachelle Burks, 24, of the 200 block of West Markland, Kokomo, at 5:51 a.m. Thursday. Bond was set at $10,000 for Class A misdemeanor OWI and Class B misdemeanor public intoxication.

    The fussing of 10-day-old Autumn Marie Sperry seemed to coincide with the beginning of the funeral service for her father, Jesse Sperry, whose body rested just a few feet away. More than 200 friends and family members gathered at Edgewood Baptist Church this afternoon to pay their respects to Jesse, who was killed April 6 in a traffic accident on Indiana 32.
