Adult education GED classes offered

ANDERSON, Ind. — Anderson Community Schools is offering classes in GED preparation, English Language classes and Basic Education Refresher classes for the 2011-12 school year. Anyone interested in taking an adult education GED class must attend a one-hour orientation and take a three-hour pretest.

Orientation and pretesting will be held at the former Forest Hills Elementary School, 1600 Hillcrest Ave. The next orientation date is Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. or 6 to 7 p.m. Next available pretesting (TABE) date is Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon or 5 to 8 p.m.

GED classes are offered during the day and in the evening from 4 to 7 p.m. English as a Second Language classes are offered Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Basic Education Refresher classes are offered Monday and Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. For more information, call 641-2121.
