Pendleton Correctional Facility has new leader

PENDLETON, Ind. — The Pendleton Correctional Facility will welcome a new superintendent in March.

Dushan Zatecky, a correctional officer since 1991, will be promoted to the rank of superintendent effective March 4, according to a press release from the Pendleton Correctional Facility.

Zatecky began his career at the Plainfield Correctional Facility where he received promotions to sergeant, lieutenant and captain. He also served as acting major for two years. Zatecky was a member of the E-Squad for more than 13 years, serving as field commander for five years, according to the release.

In 2005, Zatecky was promoted to major at the Pendleton Correctional Facility and remained there until transferring to the Putnamville Correctional Facility as a unit team manager in May 2007.
