NOR Body no bullet:Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Thursday and Friday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

NOR Body no bullet:Anderson police arrested Vernon L. Wade, 70, of the 1100 block of Nichol Avenue, Anderson, at 4:14 p.m. Thursday. Bond was set at $500 for Civil contempt of court.

Alexandria police arrested Samuel J. Martin, 35, of the 600 block of West Berry Street, Alexandria, at 4:36 p.m. Thursday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor failure to appear.

Anderson police arrested Anthony L. Hopgood Jr., 26, of the 1700 block of Lakeshore Drive, Anderson, at 5:13 p.m. Thursday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor conversion.

Madison County police arrested Louis W. Moyer, 50, of the 1400 block of Ohio Avenue, Anderson, at 6:22 p.m. Thursday. No bond was set for Class B felony parole violation.

Chesterfield police arrested TJ Patrick Scott, 27, of the 2900 block of East Fifth Street, Anderson, at 8:05 p.m. Thursday. Bond was set at $10,000 for Class C felony burglary, Class A misdemeanor criminal mischief and Class D felony theft.

Madison County police arrested Michael R. Smith, 36, of the 600 block of Main Street, Anderson, at 8:15 p.m. Thursday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class C misdemeanor battery and Class D felony parole violation.

Elwood police arrested Niesha L. Brown, 27, of the 900 block of South B Street, Elwood, at 10 p.m. Thursday. Bond was set at $10,740 for Class A misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident, Class A misdemeanor OWI, Class C felony intimidation, Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Class A misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

Madison County police arrested Jaclyn R. Smith, 32, of the 1300 block of West Eighth Street, Anderson, at 10:08 p.m. Thursday. Bond was set at $500 for Class D felony contempt of court.

    The fussing of 10-day-old Autumn Marie Sperry seemed to coincide with the beginning of the funeral service for her father, Jesse Sperry, whose lifeless body rested just a few feet away. More than 200 friends and family members gathered at Edgewood Baptist Church this afternoon to pay their respects to Jesse, who was killed April 6 in a traffic accident on West Indiana 32.
