Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services to open Monday

ANDERSON — Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services is set to open on Monday at 504 W. Ninth St., (formerly Guilkey Funeral Home).

The new full service facility will offer the citizens of Madison County lower cost cremation and burial options. Basic cremations will start at $1,295, and funeral services packages will start at $2,495, including a casket.

“The move to Anderson was a natural step for us,” said Eddie Beagles, CFSP Vice-President of Funeral Operations for Legacy. “We are honored to bring our superior service and low cost options to the people of Anderson and Madison County — to give them a choice they didn’t have before.”

The location will be managed by Lisa Heath-Baker, a lifetime resident of the area. “Lisa brings a vast amount of experience and compassion to her work.” said Beagles.

“We provide families with a memorable and fitting tribute, at reasonable prices, centered on honoring a life,” said Heath-Baker. “We have renovated a building in the historic district of Anderson and are proud to be a part of the community.”

An open house is planned at Legacy for Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Legacy’s mission is to serve all of Central Indiana with low-cost cremation and funeral/burial services. The firm has been in business for more than 10 years.

Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services is a division of Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Centers.
