Park View Cemetery sets cleanup date

ALEXANDRIA — Park View Cemetery’s fall cemetery cleanup will take place from Nov. 4-11, said owner Mike Owens.

All ground decorations, ground flowers, seasonal spring and summer flowers, that are to be kept by the family should be removed by Nov. 3. The cemetery grounds crew will remove any ground decorations, faded and unsightly decorations and flowers that are not in vases, attached directly to a monument or on shepherd’s hooks beginning on Nov. 4.

The cleanup will also apply to the Garden of Angels section. All items will be removed so that trimming and revamping of markers can take place. Memorial items can then be replaced after Nov. 11.

Christmas grave blankets may be placed after Nov. 25.
