Housing Coalition meeting to be held
Anderson Fair Housing Coalition will have a meeting on housing issues with Merilyn Brown, a representative from the federal Housing and Urban Development, on Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Wilson Boys & Girls Club, 2200 W. 22nd St.
Better Breathers group to meet
The Better Breathers Club is a support group for adults suffering from chronic lung disease, organized through the American Lung Association of Indiana. Meetings include expert speakers, video presentations and roundtable discussions.
The group’s next meeting will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Community Hospital Anderson’s Education Center, 1923 N. Madison Ave. Speaker Richard Rose will discuss how the heart and lungs work together.

‘Celebrity’ servers to aid Alternatives
Alternatives Inc. and Wings Etc. will host a Community TIPS Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Local “celebrity servers, hostesses and volunteers” will serve lunch to raise funds for Alternatives’ shelter.
All tips will be donated to the agency. Among the celebrity servers are Deanna Edwards, Anderson University; Greg Graham, Anderson Board of Works; Niki Hollingsworth, The Salon Professional Academy; Amber Lewis, city of Anderson; Ludy Watkins, Madison County clerk; and Georgeann Whitworth, National City.

Spring fling, hog roast set at Frankton
Frankton Heritage Days Ninth Annual Spring Fling & Hog Roast will be held on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Heritage House, corner of Church and Walnut streets.
