Anderson resident Kathleen Franks was among 205 students who received the bachelor of arts degrees during Hanover College’s 176th annual commencement ceremony. The event was held Saturday, May 23, at The Point on the College’s campus.

Franks, an English major, is the daughter of Mark and Susan Franks of Anderson. She is a graduate of Highland High School.

Gernand named to dean’s list

Alyssa Kate Gernand has received recognition on the National Dean’s List for the spring semester of the 2009 academic year at Indiana Wesleyan University. To be named on this list, a student must obtain a 3.500 grade-point average on a 4.000 scale and carry at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

Eddy completes studies at Harding University

Kristopher Eddy of Anderson was among nearly 600 graduates who received diplomas in May 9 commencement exercises at Harding University in Searcy, Ark. Eddy, majoring in leadership and organizational management, received the master of business administration degree.

Noland is honored at Univ. of C. Missouri

Robin Noland of Anderson was named to the 2009 spring semester dean’s list at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo. Her academic work earned her a place on the 3.5 to 3.99 list.

rea students honored at Rose Hulman

Three area students have been named to the dean’s list at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology for the spring quarter of the 2008-09 academic year.

They are Adam Hester, Clark Moser and Samuel Ostling.

Switzer named to BSU dean’s list

Victoria D. (Tori) Switzer of Pendleton was named to the dean’s list at Ball State University for the Spring 2009 semester. Tori is the daughter of Craig and Barbara Switzer. She just finished her freshman year and is studying nursing at Ball State.

Brueggen graduates from Spring Arbor University

Geoffrey Brueggen of Anderson has graduated from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Mich., with a degree in chemistry. He is the son of Gene and Annie Brueggen.
