Annual giveaway project Saturday
Youth in Action will sponsor a giveaway from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of Progressive Temple of Faith Church, 2026 Hendricks St., Anderson. Items will include clothing, shoes, miscellaneous items and toys. The group is inspired by a song composed by Bill Gaither titled “Take What You Have & Just Give It Away.” The youths will also be selling sandwiches and drinks. Breakfast benefits Daleville volleyball
A community breakfast set from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, will benefit the Daleville High School volleyball team. The meal will be served at the Lions Club, Sixth and Edwards streets in Daleville. The all-you-can-eat breakfast will include eggs and sausage, bisuits and sausage gravy, pancakes, coffee, milk and orange juice. Cost is $6 per person and those under the age of 6 eat free.
Local Briefs run daily and include local nonprofit events, such as dinners, breakfasts, sales. If possible, please provide the information a week in advance.
