Chamber Wake Up Breakfast Thursday
The Chamber of Commerce for Anderson & Madison County will hold its next Wake Up Breakfast at 7 a.m. Thursday in the Paramount Hardacre Ballroom. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. For reservations, call (765) 642-0264.
Sponsors for the breakfast are Countryside Manor and Rawlins House Health and Living Communities and Fall Creek Retirement Village. In addition to the sponsors’ segment, the three facilities are underwriting musical entertainment by the Steele Project, a nonprofit opera and theater educational group that seeks to promote the arts.
Providing background music will be L.J. Mechem Jr. and John Barnard while Bret Busby will be emcee.
Library budget committee Tuesday
The Anderson Public Library Budget Committee will meet at 4:15 p.m. today in the boardroom of the library at 111 E. 12th St., Anderson.
Triad to discuss evacuation plans
Madison County Triad will hold a meeting with Becky Bathauer of the Anderson Fire Department at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
The topic will be, “Safe Disaster Evacuation Plans.” Several senior housing facilities have been invited to discuss the need to coordinate these plans with local fire departments, said Triad Chairman Dennis Lanane.
Classic movie at Pendleton library
The Pendleton Community Public Library, 595 E. Water St., invites the public to enjoy “I’ll Be Seeing You,” a wartime love story about two troubled strangers who meet by chance on a train, made in 1944. This film stars Oscar winners Ginger Rogers, Joseph Cotton and Shirley Temple and was directed by William Dieterle.
The movie will be shown at 2 p.m. Thursday.
