Breakfast burrito fundraiser Friday

A breakfast burrito fundraiser for the Committee to Vote No on Last Public Question on Ballot will be Friday from 6:30 to 10 a.m. at Democrat Headquarters, 18 W. 8th St.

Breakfast burritos, shredded hash browns, fresh fruit cup, coffee or orange juice will be served. Cost is $5. Deliveries available by calling (765) 642-0840.

Nazz indoor soccer sign-up Saturday

Sign-ups for the Nazz Fall Soccer League will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Family Life Center at the Church of the Nazarene, 1401 S. Harrison St., Alexandria.

The fall season will run from Saturday, Sept. 20 through Oct. 25. This league is for children ages 4 through sixth grade. Registration fee is $25, which includes a T-shirt. The deadline is Wednesday, and no late registrations will be accepted.

K of C fish fry set to be held Friday

The Knights of Columbus, 1225 Main St., will have a fish fry from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday. Carryouts will be available.

The group will also have a chicken fry from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13.

Higgins fundraiser Saturday at D.T.’s

A bike rally for Democrat candidate for county council at large Larry Higgins is planned Saturday, with registration at 10 a.m. and first bike out at 11 a.m. Those participating should meet at D.T.’s R Bar. Cost is $20 a couple or carload or $15 for singles. Dinner will follow at the Northwest Watering Hole with Judge Kyle Noone’s band providing entertainment at 6 p.m. No charge for those who rode.

Biscuits, gravy breakfast Saturday

An all-you-can-eat biscuits and gravy breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Cost is $5 per person. It will be held at Main Street Church of God Fellowship Hall located at 4211 S. Main St., Anderson. There will also be a multiple family rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring many large items, baby items and miscellaneous items. All proceeds will benefit the Main Street Church of God Youth Group.
