Coloring contest deadline Wednesday
The Wilson Boys & Girls Club will be putting on a play at 6 p.m. Friday at the Anderson Paramount Theatre titled “OZ,” from the movie “The Wizard of Oz.”
One of the events that is leading up to this play will be a coloring contest. Youth between the ages of 6 and 11 can pick up a color page of their choice at the Wilson Boys & Girls Club, 2200 W. 22nd St. The Scarecrow, Lion, the Tin man, Wicked Witch or Dorothy are the characters youths can choose from ,one per person please.
Each youth is asked to color the character and turn it in to the Wilson Boys & Girls Club no later than 3 p.m. Wednesday. Prizes includes three memberships to the Wilson Boys & Girls Club, birthday party package at Cooper’s Sports Bowl, four movie passes to the Mounds Mall 10 theater and free games, miniature golf, batting cages and go-kart rides at Anderson Race Way and Anderson Putt Putt Golf. Service council to hear about Hoosier Park
A representative from Hoosier Park Racing & Casino will speak to the Community Services Council of Madison County at noon Wednesday at the Salvation Army, 1615 Meridian St., Anderson.
According to a press release, the representative will speak on the topic of where the casino’s money is going, and what comes back to the community.

Zinszer to speak to women’s art group
The Anderson Art Center Women’s League will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Anderson Center for the Arts, 32 W. 10th St. The 10 a.m. program will be given by Judy Zinszer, owner of Zinszer’s Bakery & Cookies, on the “Art of Travel and Food.” All women are invited to attend.
Shrine Club to serve fish dinner
The Madison County Shrine Club, 2419 White St., Anderson, will hold an all-you-can-eat fish dinner, from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. Friday. The public is invited to attend.
