‘Seance’ planned at AHS Oct. 17-18
Anderson High School Theatre Arts will present “Seance at Anderson High School” by Eileen Moushey on Friday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, Oct. 18. The show will begin both evenings at 6 p.m.
This will be an audience participation murder-mystery dinner theater to be held in the Anderson High School cafeteria. Tickets will be $17 and reservations are required. Dinner will be served.
Reservations are due by Oct. 15 and may be made by calling AHS at (765) 641-2037, ext. 2177 or (765) 602-0075.
Saturday event will offer chili cook-off
A chili cook-off and BMX show will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church.
This is a fundraising event for the Lutheran Women’s Fellowship.
The chili cook-off will be held in the church’s fellowship hall. Contestants need to bring two gallons of their secret recipe chili to the church between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Judging will begin at 5 p.m., with prizes being awarded to Judges Choice of Best Chili and The People’s Choice Winner.
There will be 10 kinds of chili. Tickets for the chili cook-off are $5 for adults; $3 for kids and $15 for a family (2 adults and 2 kids). For $20, you can purchase five adult tickets.
The 30-minute BMX stunt show including Nate, Brian and Luke Strieby will take place at 5:30 p.m. in front of the church. There is no admission charge.

Wine tasting Oct. 15 at Hoosier Park
A special Indy Vinos event will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Hoosier Park, 4500 Dan Patch Circle, in the Top of the Park room.
Indy Vinos is a social wine tasting held every month at the area’s best venues. The public is invited. Admission at the door is $15 and includes wine from 7 to 9 p.m. as well as appetizers, live music and a raffle entry.
