Local student to take part in Naval Academy program

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The U.S. Naval Academy invited a select group of approximately 2,550 young men and women from around the nation and abroad to attend the Naval Academy Summer Seminar program.

The seminar is a fast-paced leadership experience for rising seniors in high school. The program helps educate, motivate and prepare selected students who are considering applying for admission to USNA.

Reece M. Clingenpeel, a student at Green River High School in Green River, Wyo., will participate in the program. He is the grandson of Larry and Dixie Gibson of Anderson.

Local students serve as pages

INDIANAPOLIS — David Crosley and Sheradan Hills, juniors at Lapel High School, recently served as Indiana House Pages for State Rep. Robert Cherry during the 2014 session of the Indiana General Assembly.
