---- — 'Abundance' meal cancelled

MARKLEVILLE — The Markleville East Christian Church “God Abundance” meal for March 12 has been cancelled due to illness.

The next scheduled meal will take place on April 9 with a menu of chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, rolls, dessert and drink.

If there is an elderly person or small business in the area that would like a meal(s) delivered during the day of the meal, contact the church at 533-4996.

K of C holding Lenten Fish Fry

ANDERSON — The Knights of Columbus, 1225 Main St., will have its annual Lenten Fish Fry every Friday beginning on Friday, March 7 through Good Friday, April 18 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Prices are $8 for adult meals and $4 for children meals. Carry-outs are available.

NAMI to hold membership meeting

ANDERSON — The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Madison County will host its membership meeting on Thursday, March 27, at 6 p.m. at St. Mathew United Methodist Church across from Community Hospital.

There will be a pitch-in dinner. The public is invited to attend.

Speaker will be Leslie Gay, NAMI's Indiana Membership Director.

Martial arts studio holding fundraiser

ALEXANDRIA — Alexandria Martial Arts Studio will hold a Fazoli's dinner fundraiser from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Emery Lee Auditorium, Beulah Park.

Proceeds will go towards offsetting the costs of tournaments.

Advance sale tickets are $8 for adults; $10 for adults at the door; and $5 for children (12 and under).

Tickets can be purchased from students, at the Alexandria Monroe Chamber of Commerce office, or by calling 617-8926 or 620-2656.

'We Will Rock You' musical opens May 20

INDIANAPOLIS — The worldwide smash hit "rock theatrical," Queen and Ben Elton's "We Will Rock You," built around 24 of Queen's biggest hits, opens at the Murat Theatre at Old National Centre on Tuesday, May 20 and will stage seven performances through Sunday, May 25.

For the U.S. production, writer and director Ben Elton has redrafted his original script to resonate with US audiences as well as reflect the cultural changes since he first penned the storyline.

Lenten Brunch features Davis

ANDERSON — New Horizons United Methodist Church, 611 E. 53rd St., will have a Women’s Lenten Brunch on Saturday, March 8 at 9:30 a.m.
