---- — Triad to discuss pain management

ANDERSON — Triad will host a workshop at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Mounds Mall to discuss chronic pain management.

Dr. Howe, a pain management specialist from St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital, will be the speaker. Serious, chronic pain affects at least 116 million Americans each year, many of whom are inadequately treated by the health care system. Howe will address strategies that will help people get relief from chronic pain.

Down payment assistance workshop scheduled

ANDERSON — For first-time home buyers who would like to purchase a home in Delaware, Madison, Blackford, Randolph or Henry counties, PathStone offers help.

The information session that was scheduled for Jan. 9 has been rescheduled. The information workshop will be on Jan. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon or 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The workshop is free of cost, but registration is required. Call 286-2162 to register.

In Anderson, the workshop will be in the City of Anderson Economic Development conference room on the first floor of the City Building, 120 E. Eighth St. The Muncie workshop location is at PathStone, 1917 W. Royale Drive.

Guidelines and program requirements will be discussed at this workshop.

Toasting the New Year Sampler tonight

ANDERSON — The Anderson Center for the Arts board of trustees and staff are hosting a Tasting the Arts event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the center, 32 W. 10th St.

Food samplings and musical entertainment by Rick Vale will be featured at the Toasting the New Year Sampler.

The cost is $25 per person, payable by phone in advance or at the door.
