AHS Class of '54 meets Oct. 17

ANDERSON — A meeting of the Anderson High School Class of 1954 members will be held at Perkins Restaurant at 11 a.m. Thursday. Plans for the class's 60th reunion to be held in September 2014 will be discussed.

Email addresses of class members are being sought. If you are unable to attend the meeting, call 642-8437 with your email address.

Promising Futures topic at Exchange ANDERSON — The Anderson Noon Exchange Club will host Amanda Summers of Promising Futures at today's 11:30 a.m. club luncheon at The Edge Golf & Dining. Summers is the safe place and host home coordinator, serving as a resource for youth in crisis.Guests are welcome to attend. The buffet cost is $12.

Red Hat Chicks plan outing

PENDLETON — The Pendleton Red Hat Chicks will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the home of Barbara Mercer. The group will then travel to New Castle for lunch and visit the Henry County Historical Society.

Church hosts chicken and noodle dinner

ANDERSON — Fifth Street United Methodist Church, 1124 W. Fifth St., will serve a chicken noodles dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Carryout will be available.

Cost is $7 for adults; $3.50 for children ages 4 to 10 and those under the age of 3 eat free.

Stillwell Manor fundraiser for MCHS

ANDERSON — Stillwell Manor Haunted House, 1704 E. 60th St., (the old Applewood Theatre) will host a fundraiser on Thursday for the Madison County Humane Society.

A portion of every full-priced ticket goes to the Humane Society. You can get $3 off your ticket with the donation of any of the following: Pinesol, laundry soap, heavy-duty 55-gallon trash bags, 13-gallon kitchen trash bags, Purina Small Bites, Purina One Lamb and Rice, Purina Cat Chow, Purina Kitten Chow or three cans of pet food.

If you don't like haunted houses, you can just drop off a donation. Donations may also be mailed to MCHS, 2219 Crystal St., Anderson, IN 46012.
