South Madison substitute teacher workshop set

---- — PENDLETON — A substitute teacher workshop is set for Monday, Oct. 28 (8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and Tuesday, Oct. 29 (7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.) at the Administrative Services Center, South Madison Community School Corp., 203 S. Heritage Way.

People who would like to substitute teach in South Madison Community Schools must have earned at least 60 hours of college credit or must have completed the district substitute teacher workshop. Cost for the workshop is $10. Preregistration is required by Oct. 24.

In addition to workshop sessions, participants will observe classrooms on the afternoon of Oct. 28 and the morning of Oct. 29. In order to participate in classroom observations, participants must agree to adhere to the staff dress code and sign paperwork for a limited background check as part of the registration process.
