Frankton to consider fire fees

FRANKTON — The Frankton Town Board will hold a special meeting at 108 E. Sigler St., in the police department conference room at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

The board will consider Ordinance No. 103-13 which would establish fees for the Frankton Volunteer Fire Department

Tree sale Saturday for conservation district

ANDERSON — The Madison County Soil and Water Conservation is having a tree sale from 9 a.m. to noon today. The trees will cost from $5 to $35. The address is 182 W. 300N, Anderson.

Gospel artist Taylor at local church

ANDERSON — Gospel recording artist Cheri Taylor will provide an evening of worship through music at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Redeemer Baptist Church, 3230 Rangeline Road.

Taylor has five albums to her credit. Her newest project, “Celebrate Me Home,” will be released soon. For information, call 642-3610.

Local church hosts revival

PENDLETON — The Huntsville/Good Shepherd Church, 3126 W. Market St., will host a revival on Oct. 20-23, with services Sunday morning and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

The Rev. Lane Loman of Loman Ministries in Columbus is the evangelist. For information, call 778-2993.

Ind. 32 closing Tuesday at crossing

ANDERSON — The Indiana Department of Transportation will close Ind. 32 just east of John Street/Fairview Street at the 104.5 mile marker for one week beginning Tuesday, Oct. 22. Norfolk Southern plans to replace the rail crossing during the closure period.

An official detour routes traffic on Ind. 9, I-69, Ind. 38 and Ind. 13. The closure begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday. It continues through the following Wednesday, Oct. 30, or until crews finish refurbishing the crossing.

Presentation offered on asthma and allergies

PENDLETON — St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital will offer a free educational presentation about allergies and asthma triggers. The session, conducted by a certified asthma educator, will be at the Pendleton YMCA, 6511 S. Ind. 67, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22.

About 15 million Americans have asthma. People who have asthma may experience wheezing, coughing, increased mucous production and difficulty breathing. Fall pollens from trees and weeds and molds from wet leaves can trigger asthma episodes. Learn more at the free presentation. For reservations call the YMCA, 221-7508.
