---- — Johnson appointed pastor at Summitville

SUMMITVILLE — The Rev. Joshua D. Johnson was appointed as the new pastor of the Summitville United Methodist Church as of Oct. 27.

He and his wife, Shay, are parents to Lily, Timothy and William.

The Rev. Johnson has a master of arts in Ministry from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University and is completing his Masters of Divinity there. Johnson is an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church and is also serving as pastor of the Grant City Wesleyan Church, rural Shirley.

Gospel after Sunset this evening

ANDERSON — Anderson Zion Baptist Church, 2008 Rev. J.T. Menifee St., will present "Gospel after Sunset" at 6 p.m. this evening featuring The Flint Cavaliers of Flint, Mich.

Also appearing will be The Sensational Bells of Joy of Anderson and the Anderson Zion Male Choirs.

This is a free will donation program.

Sherman Street COG to hold revival series

ANDERSON — Sherman Street Church of God will present "#Lightup," a revival series to be held Nov. 6-8 and Nov. 10 at the church at 1820 Sherman St.

Guest speaker will be Damon Golden. Worship leader will be Jeremy Williams. The pastor is Reagan Mitchell.

Concert artist will be Fight Squad. Start times are 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Friday night bonfire/concert at 9 p.m. with Sunday morning services at 10 a.m.
