---- — Hanging of the Greens event set

ANDERSON — Bethany Pointe will celebrate the holidays through its annual Hanging of the Greens at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Family members, staff and youth from St. Mary’s in Anderson will help the residents decorate the building for Christmas.

There will be lots of Christmas music and interaction between the residents and youth.

Ladies Auxiliary to serve up dinner

PENDLETON — The Ladies Auxiliary of the Pendleton American Legion will host a chicken and noodle dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday.

The menu includes chicken and noodles, green beans, mashed potatoes and a roll for $6.

The public is invited to attend.

AHS Class of '66 to meet for dinner

ANDERSON — The Anderson High School Class of 1966 will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Frisch's Big Boy, 500 N. Broadway, Anderson.

Harvest Festival set for Friday

ANDERSON — New Life Church of the Nazarene, 3615 Raible Ave., will host a Harvest Festival beginning at 5 p.m. Friday. Vendors will be selling holiday gifts.

There will be a fun zone for the kids, a cake walk, pumpkin decorating (bring your own), face painting, a chili cook-off, and more.

Canned food items will be collected.

Ernie Heart will be selling fall flower arrangements and other items. Pet food and monetary donations will be accepted for the Pet Food Pantry.

AHS Class of '54 to meet Thursday

ANDERSON — A meeting of class members will be held at Perkins Restaurant on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Plans for the 60th reunion to be held Oct. 18, 2014, at The Edge will be discussed. The class is seeking email addresses to keep mailing costs down.

Church to host Saturday rummage

ANDERSON — The Florida Station Church of God, 1045 W. 375N (north of Cross Street off Madison Avenue) will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Family Life Center.

Proceeds will go to the Sonshine Day Care Ministry of the church.

4-H hosting 'Fundraising Frenzy'

ALEXANDRIA — The Madison County 4-H Association is hosting a "Fundraising Frenzy" on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Madison County 4-H Fairgrounds Farm Bureau Building.

Vendors participating include Celebrating Home, Longaberger Baskets, Pampered Chef, Premier Design Jewelry, Tastefully Simple, and Thirty One.

Some items will be available for purchase that day; others will be ordered from the latest catalogs.

Ladies Auxiliary conducting holiday nut sale

MIDDLETOWN — The Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 216, currently has their holiday nut sale going on at the post at 450 N. 10th St., Middletown.

ANDERSON — The Anderson High School Class of 1960 will have its monthly luncheon on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Shouts, located at Coopers Sport Bowl on 53rd Street.
