Author Ruth Ann Hanley to be at Pendleton library

The Herald Bulletin

---- — PENDLETON — The Pendleton Community Public Library, 595 E. Water St., will have Ruth Ann Hanley for an author’s visit and book signing at 10 a.m. Saturday in the library’s community room.

“No Pulling Back” is a story about Daemon, a calculating fighter dog, a favorite of the screaming, clapping, blood-thirsty crowd in the Roman amphitheater. The champion killer-dog escaped his own execution and lived free. Unchained, he follows a man called Jesus. This fictional talk is unique in that it is the first to answer “yes” to the ageless question: “Did Jesus have a dog?”

Hanley, an animal lover, writer and retired attorney, lives in Indianapolis with her T.D.I. therapy dog, “Pepper”. “Pepper” shows the same goodness and generosity that appealed to the fighter dog.

RSVPs to the free program are appreciated. Call the library at 778-7527 or email ashannon@pendleton.lib.in.us to reserve your place.
