---- — Frankton fallconcert Wednesday

FRANKTON — The Frankton High School New Attitude Show Choir will host its fall concert Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Eagles Nest Gymnasium. The group will perform several numbers together, along with some solos.

Featured will be faculty member Matt McClintick.

Admission is free and the public is invited.

Federal employees meet Thursday

ANDERSON — National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 36 will meet at noon Thursday at Perkins Restaurant, 5033 S. Scatterfield Road.

A spokesperson from Blue Cross Federal Employees will be the speaker. All active and retired federal employees are welcome.

Revival begins Thursday at Central

ANDERSON — Central Community Chapel, 1004 Indiana Ave., Anderson, will host a revival at 6 p.m. nightly Thursday through Saturday.

The Rev. Jack Bess will be preaching.

Salad luncheon Friday at church

MIDDLETOWN — The Middletown United Methodist Church will host a salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. A variety of salads and a drink are included with the meal.

Cost of the luncheon is $7 and payable at the door.

Carry-out will be available.

The church is handicap accessible with an elevator on the east side.

Life’s Transitions seminar Thursday

ANDERSON — A seminar for preparing for life’s transitions, “Navigating health, legal and financial issues as we age,” is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Sherman Street Church of God, 1820 Sherman St.

Speakers will include Stacey Hanson, Life Stream Options Counselor in Madison County; attorney Anita Harden; and Stanley R. May of L.C. May Funeral Services.

‘Night of Dancing’ Saturday in Alex

ALEXANDRIA — The Christian Congregation Church will sponsor a “Night of Dancing” at 7 p.m. Saturday at The Commons Theatre, 204 W. Church St.

Frankton Trunk N Treat Oct. 31

FRANKTON — Frankton First United Methodist Church will have its annual Trunk N Treat on from 6 to 8 p.m Oct. 31, in the church parking lot at Eighth and Sigler streets, Frankton.

‘Monster Mile’ setat PHHS track

PENDLETON — The South Madison Youth Commission will present the first ever “Monster Mile” on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Pendleton Heights High School track.

Dress in your Halloween costume and run, walk, prowl, prance or slink the Monster Mile. There will be games to play with prizes of sweets and treats.

Walk for free. $2 per child or $5 per family for games.

Proceeds will benefit local charities through SMYC grants.

Dan’s Fish Fryset for Friday

ANDERSON — New Horizons United Methodist Church, 611 E. 53rd St., Anderson, will host its annual Dan’s Fish Fry from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.

The menu will include Dan’s Famous Fish or chicken, choice of baked beans or green beans, cole slaw, applesauce, choice of beverage and choice of dessert. Tickets the day of the event are $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-12. Children under five eat free.

Proceeds will be used for outreach ministry.
