Halloween-related events coming up in the Madison County area:
PENDLETON — The Pumpkin Patch is now open to the public and open every weekend in October on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. (During week by appointment only). There will be a corn maze, pony rides, playground, petting barn, straw pile, refreshments, entertainment and a large pumpkin patch.
Admission is $4 per person, children 2 and under free. They are located at 7137 W. 675S, Pendleton.
ANDERSON — This year's Malloween Extravaganza will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mounds Mall, 2109 S. Scatterfield Road, Anderson.
There will be trick-or-treating, candy corn guessing game, pumpkin decorating, creepy crawlers on display from Night Stalkers.
The event is designed for children 12 and under.
ANDERSON — Stillwell Manor Haunted House is open in the former Applewood movie theater at 1704 E. 60th St., Anderson.
Prices are $15 for weekdays and Sunday and $18 for Fridays, Saturday and Halloween.
Hours are: Halloween, 8 to 11 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 1-2, 7 to 11 p.m.; today, 6 to 10 p.m.; and Monday and Tuesday, 7 to 10 p.m.
$3 off with a donation of three canned goods (people or pet) or an unwrapped new toy. Donations go to local Food Bank, Humane Society and Toys for Tots.
MUNCIE — Cornerstone Center for the Arts, 520 E. Main St., will host its annual free family-friendly Community Halloween Party, from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday.
Activities include games, prizes, treats, activities and refreshments. This Community Halloween party is for all ages. Come dressed in a costume.Information: Carly Acree King, 281-9503, ext. 15.
ANDERSON — The Knights of Columbus, 1225 Main St., Anderson, will host its annual Halloween Party for children on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
ELWOOD — The Elwood Chamber of Commerce, along with the Elwood Veterans of Foreign Wars, will host the annual Halloween Parade at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Parade lineup will begin at 5:45 p.m. behind Star Financial Bank which is located at the intersection of Anderson Street and South “A” Street.
The Chamber and VFW will be handing out “treat bags” to all participating children.
ALEXANDRIA — More than 4,000 wooden pumpkins and over 300 cartoon characters will be on display on a 4-mile stretch of County Road 200 West, Alexandria, starting at Indiana 128-28 all day on Halloween from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Family, fun night
ALEXANDRIA — A Halloween Fun and Family Night will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Farm Bureau Building at the Madison County 4-H Fairgrounds.
There will be crafts, games and treats.
The event is being sponsored by the Madison County 4-H Junior Leaders.
Trick or treating
ANDERSON — Good's Candy Shop is offering free trick or treating, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
All kids 12 and under in costume will receive free candy.
DALEVILLE — Daleville Christian Church, 14220 W. Daleville Road, will hold its annual Fall Festival Trunk n' Treat from 3 to 5 p.m. today.
All are invited to this free community event.
Activities include: trunk or treating, corn hole, face painting and moon walk.
- North Anderson Wesleyan Church, 1947 E. 240 N (Bethany and Rangeline roads), Anderson, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday. Free hot dogs and drinks.
- Frankton First United Methodist Church will have its annual Trunk-N-Treat on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the church parking lot at Eighth and Sigler streets, Frankton.
- Community Northview, 1235 W. Cross St., Anderson, 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, for 1-12 years old. Candy and prizes.
