Church to host Dan's Fish Fry

ANDERSON — First Presbyterian Church, 230 W. NInth St., will host a Dan's Fish Fry on Friday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. in the church's fellowship hall.

An all-you-can-eat fish and chicken dinner will be $9 for adults and $5 for children 6 to12 and children under 5, eat free.

The menu includes fried fish, chicken strips, baked beans, cole slaw, tea, lemonade and dessert.

Carry-outs will be available. A drive-through will be available, weather permitting. Vehicles may enter the alley on the east side of the church from Eighth Street.

Proceeds from the event will go to help support youth programs of the church.

St. Mary's dinner, auction Nov. 16

ANDERSON — St. Mary's annual Silent and Live Auction to fund school improvements will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the Robert Loose Community Center. Symmes Auctions will preside.

Dinner includes prime rib, stuffed chicken, or grilled salmon. Dinner tickets are $25 a person, and can be purchased through the school office at 642-1848 or online at http://smschool.catholicweb.com/ (see bottom right corner of homepage).

Dinner ticket sales end Oct. 31, however you do not need a dinner ticket to attend the auction beginning at 7 p.m.

Good's offers trick or treating

ANDERSON — Good's Candy Shop, 1423 W. 53rd St., is offering free trick or treating from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

All kids 12 and under in costume will receive free candy.

Harvest Family Night Thursday

ANDERSON — Grace Baptist Church will host its fifth annual Harvest Family Night on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in and around the gymnasium at 432 W. 300 N.

There will be free food, hot dogs, nachos, donuts, cider slushies, treats, carnival type games, hayrides, bounce house, photo booth, gift card drawing and a bonfire.
