Rolston elected to Bradley board

PEORIA, Ill. — Dr. Lindsey Rolston, orthopedic surgeon at Henry County Center for Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine in New Castle, has been elected to the Bradley University Board of Trustees in Peoria, Ill.

Rolston is a 1985 graduate of Bradley University and earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He is the inventor of the Journey Deuce knee replacement system. He was inducted into the Bradley University Centurion Society in 2010 and received the Bradley Athletic Department’s Orville Nothdruft Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.

ISCA recognizes excellence in chiropractic leadership

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Chiropractic Association (ISCA) honored outstanding leaders and dedicated professionals during their 2013 Fall Conference, held Oct. 18-20 at the Caribbean Cove Hotel and Conference Center, Indianapolis.

The ISCA honored Dr. Robert Tennant of Shirley, as the 2013 DC of the Year. This award recognizes an ISCA member who has worked for the benefit of the Chiropractic profession through their devotion of time, resources and personal commitment. This person exhibits a strong moral character and ethics in their professional and personal life.

In practice for more than 30 years, Dr. Tennant is the current president of the ISCA and was named DC of the Year in 1992 and 2005.

“Dr. Tennant’s commitment to the Association and the profession is remarkable. His forward-thinking leadership and support of our advocacy efforts are integral as we face challenges in a changing healthcare arena,” said Pat McGuffey, ISCA Executive Director.

Barr receives IDOC award

PENDLETON — Administrative Assistant David Barr was presented with the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) Administrative Support Award during the recent Indiana Criminal Justice Association (ICJA) conference awards ceremony held in Merrillville. The IDOC Administrative Support Award is provided to a staff member that provides excellent service and support in an administrative capacity.
