Thanksgiving Day dinner fundraiser

ANDERSON — A Community Ushers Salad Luncheon will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Anderson Zion Family Life Center, 2008 Rev. J.T. Menifee St., Anderson.

This is a fundraiser luncheon for the radio broadcast and the Thanksgiving Day dinner.

Tickets are $5. See any usher from any church in Anderson for your tickets.

Small Town Garden Club to meet

ALEXANDRIA — Alexandria’s SmallTown Garden Club will meet on Monday at the Community Center, 315 S. Harrison St..

Ellen Elliott, past president of Garden Clubs of Indiana and frequent flower show judge, will present a program on flower arranging.

Registration will be at 6:30 p.m.; the program will start at 7 p.m.

Refreshments will be served, and visitors are welcome.

Ice Cream Social scheduled for Friday

ELWOOD — The Curtisville Christian Church, 737 N. Madison County Road 600-E., will host its annual ice cream social from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Ham salad sandwiches, chips, drinks, pie, cake, and other desserts, along with ice cream and toppings. A free will donation will be taken with all proceeds going toward the purchase of a new church organ.

 

Tea Party meeting set for Thursday

PENDLETON — The Madison County Tea Party will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Conservation Building at Falls Park.

Guest speakers will be state Sen. Doug Eckerty and David Stockdale, a republican candidate for Congress in Indiana’s 5th District.

‘Timeless Feel’ comes to library

NEW CASTLE — The musical duo “Timeless Feel” will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium of the New Castle-Henry County Public Library, 376 S. 15th St.

Joel Conner and Amy Jackson have been performing together on the Indy circuit for almost a decade as part of the rock band “Indiscretion.” They perform material that emphasizes vocals and singer-songwriter influences, blending harmonies with a guitar and 5-string-bass accompaniment.
