Correctional facility to host July 1 job fair
PENDLETON — The Correctional Industrial Facility, 5124 Reformatory Road, will host a Job Fair on Tuesday, July 1, from 8:30 to 12:30 p.m. and is looking to hire correctional officers.
Potential candidates need to bring their high school diploma (or GED equivalent), a valid driver’s license and proof of work history (example: DD214).

CHA to hold HIP signup session
ANDERSON — Community Hospital Anderson will offer a Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) enrollment session Friday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Community Anderson Education Center, 1923 N. Madison Ave.
During this session, Community Anderson financial counselors will be available to assist people in signing up for health care coverage through HIP. Community Hospital Anderson’s financial counselors can also assist people over the phone or in person, by appointment.

Cemetery commission meets Wednesday
ANDERSON —The Madison County Cemetery Commission will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday on the third floor of the Anderson Public Library, 111 E. 12th St.
The GPR system and various cemeteries will be discussed. The public is welcome.
Tea party to meet Thursday
PENDLETON — The Tea Party of Madison County's next general meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Conservation Building at Falls Park.
Hosts will be Sue Lile and Lee Crannell. Topics of discussion will be schools and Common Core.
Speedway chief: Feds helped with Indy 500 security
INDIANAPOLIS — The president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway says the federal homeland security officials helped protect fans and others at this year's Indianapolis 500 by providing extra cameras and helicopters.
Speedway President Doug Boles testified Monday at a field hearing in New Jersey on security at major events including the Indy 500.
