Eagles host Saturday breakfast

ANDERSON — The Anderson Eagles Aerie 174, 1315 Meridian St., will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Mirror Room.

Adult price is $6 for all-you-can-eat sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast, coffee and juice.

The event is open to the public.

Lions Club meeting set

ANDERSON — Anderson Noon Lions Club will meet on Thursday, July 17, at First United Methodist Church's fellowship hall.

Jerry Bridges, a member of the Madison County Council of Governments, will update the group on the current activities and plans for the county agency.

Christmas in July ride scheduled

ANDERSON — The second annual Christmas in July Ride will be held Saturday, July 19, leaving from Greek's Pizzeria, 6317 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m., with kickstands up at 11 a.m. Cost is $15 per ride and $10 per passenger.

Stops will be at Dortee's Drive-In in Alexandria and Iron Horse Crossing Crossing in Alexandria.

At 3 p.m. at Greek's, a $10 buffet will be available with $2 going to Secret Families of Madison County. A Gordon Brooks concert and T-shirts will be available.

All proceeds will assist Secret Families of Madison County in providing Christmas for families in the area. The group provides gifts for every person living in the home, a gift card for a Christmas dinner and a decorated Christmas tree.

Legion hosts Bike Night

ANDERSON — American Legion Riders Post 127 Bike Night will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 17 at 4118 Columbus Ave.

Everyone is welcome. Bring your hot rod, classic car, rat rod, etc.

A blind draw cornhole tournament is planned with a $5 entry fee. Biker games including ring toss, road kill pickup and slow drags.

Food items will include coney dogs, chips, cookies and brownies.
