Ind. 67 closure next week Fortville to Ingalls

FORTVILLE — The Indiana Department of Transportation will close U.S. 36/Ind. 67 next week between mile markers 78.26 and 84.2 on either side of the Hancock-Madison County line. A signed detour routes traffic via Ind. 13, Interstate 69 and Ind. 38.

INDOT Tipton Subdistrict maintenance crews have been scheduled to replace a failed drainage pipe at Ingalls — beginning at 6:30 a.m. Monday. On Tuesday, workers will begin excavation for drainage pipe replacement under Ind. 67 just north of Fortville. Officials plan to have the highway open by 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Inclement weather could postpone repair operations.
