Fundraiser at Panda Express
ANDERSON — A fundraiser for the Animal Protection League will take place on Friday from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Panda Express, 4688 S. Scatterfield Road.
A percentage of that evening’s sales during that period will benefit the Animal Protection League.
All diners must present a flier which is available at the League, 613 Dewey St., on its Facebook page where it may be printed or save the flier to your smartphone and show it when ordering.
Humane society pet clinic Saturday
ANDERSON — This Saturday, from 1 to 4 p.m., the Madison County Humane Society will hold its monthly pet clinic: $5 nail trims, $10 heartworm tests, and $20 micro-chips. All pets must be leashed.
No appointments; walk-in at MCHS office at 2219 Crystal St.
Jamboree to host talent contest
MARKLEVILLE — The Markleville Jamboree will host a talent contest on Friday evening, Aug. 1. Time to be announced.
There will be three categories: 12 years old and under; 13 years old and up; Groups (3 or more)
Acts are limited to five minutes. Awards will be given for first, second and third places in each category. Send entries to Chris Arens, P.O. Box 206, Markleville, IN 46056, or show up a few minutes early that evening to sign up.
Gladiolus show Aug. 2 at PHHS
PENDLETON — Pendleton Garden Club and the Indiana Gladiolus Society will host a dual flower show at Pendleton Heights High School from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 2.
This flower show will showcase some of the newest hybrid gladiolus, horticulture exhibits and floral arrangements from the public and area garden club members. Questions will be answered by members of both organizations.
Entries in both shows are open to the public. Admission is free.

TNT Cancer Ride is on July 26
ANDERSON — The third annual TNT Cancer Ride will be Saturday, July 26. Sign-ups will be from 11 a.m. to noon at Double T Leather, 3320 Columbus Ave., with the first bike out at 12:30 p.m.
This is a donation ride, and will cover more than 100 miles of scenic Indiana roads. If you know someone who has fought, or is fighting cancer organizers hope you will come out, ride and show your support.
All proceeds will go to Gilead Ministries, a nonprofit organization that serves thousands of cancer patients in the Marion, Anderson, Muncie area.
