Meth Unit arrests Lewisville couple

NEW CASTLE — The Pendleton District Meth Suppression Unit along with the Shirley police K-9 Unit stopped a van Tuesday at Henry County Road 300 South and Indiana 103, just south of New Castle, after observing a passenger who was wanted on a warrant.

Arrested on the felony Marion County warrant for possession of cocaine, forgery and prescription pills was Jonathan Dingle, 31, of Lewisville. In a search of Dingle’s home, troopers found a meth lab.

Dingle was also charged with dealing/manufacturing methamphetamine.

Also arrested was Dingle’s girlfriend, Tina Poore, 46, on a felony charge of maintaining a common nuisance.

Henry County Prosecutor Joe Bergacs assisted in the investigation.

Health insurance topic at meeting

ANDERSON — Triad will hold a health care insurance information meeting at 10:30 a.m. today at the Mounds Mall.

Speakers will be John Williams of the Indiana Senior Health Insurance Program, Mike Casuscelli, Affordable Care navigator; and Roger Walby, nursing home ombudsman. Questions from attendees will be accepted.

Anderson Noon Lions meet today

ANDERSON — The Anderson Noon Lions Club Inc. will meet 11:30 a.m. today for lunch at First United Methodist Church, 1215 Jackson St., in the lower fellowship hall. The meeting is at 12:10 p.m. with the program from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

The group meets on the first and third Thursday of each month. Everyone is invited. Cost of lunch is $7.

Blood drive today in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA — The city of Alexandria will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Bob Rogers Building.
