MIDDLETOWN — Middletown American Legion Post 216 will be serving grilled T-bone steaks and two sides from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 26, along with its every Friday night special, broasted fish.

The legion is a family-oriented non-smoking diner; public welcome.

Frankton class of '63 plans picnic

ELWOOD — The Frankton Class of 1963 will have its annual picnic at 5 p.m. Saturday at Calloway Park in Elwood.

Truver at New Castle library

NEW CASTLE — New Castle-Henry County Public Library will host jazz pianist Janese Truver as part of the Noteworthy Performances concert series. Truver will perform with a guest vocalist at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in the library’s auditorium. The Friends of the Library will accept donations for future events at the concert.

Truver has 30 years of entertaining experience, with a busy event schedule in the Indianapolis area. Her influences include the classics made popular by singers like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nina Simone, Michael Buble, Ella Fitzgerald, and Peggy Lee.

The library's Aug. 22 Noteworthy Concert will feature Denomination X.

Warbirds Cruise-In set for Aug. 3

PERU — The Grissom Air Museum Warbirds Cruise-In will take place on Saturday, Aug. 3. The gate for entries opens at 8 a.m. with the gate for guests opening at 10 a.m. Registration ends at noon. Judging starts at 12:30 p.m., and the awards ceremony will be held at 3 p.m.

GAM will award Top 30 prizes for “Pre-1973” entries and Top 20 awards for “1974 to the Present” entries. There will be multiple food vendors, product vendors, military recruiters, kids games and prizes, and live entertainment. There will be free admission to the museum.

Keesling reunion July 27

CADIZ — The Keesling reunion is planned July 27 at the Cadiz Lions Community Building. Doors open at 10 a.m. with scanning of photos from 10 a.m. to noon . The program will begin at 1 p.m. with white elephant auction at 2 p.m. with old or new objects.

Table service provided for pitch-in dinner and the Keesling Cemetery and Keesling ancestor books will be available. Call 533-6222.

The Nelons in Concert July 28

MATTHEWS — Epworth United Methodist Church, 105 W. Eight St., Matthews, will have The Nelons in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be no admission charge; a love offering will be taken.

NAMI presentation set for Thursday

ANDERSON — The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Madison County will present NAMI Orientation: A presentation of the work and history of NAMI at all three levels, the Madison County Affiliate.

The presentation will be given at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Mathew United Methodist Church, 1512 N. Madison Ave., (use rear parking lot doors).
