Free clinical breast exams
ANDERSON — Community Hospital Anderson offers free clinical breast exams by appointment for women in Madison County.
Clinical breast exams are different than mammograms, and should be done every three years in women ages 20-39, and every year for women over 40, most doctors recommend. All women over the age of 20 should perform self-breast exams monthly. Women over the age of 40 should have a screening mammogram done once a year.
If abnormality is detected, the patient will be referred to her physician. The women without a physician will be referred to health care providers who are accepting new patients.
Register by calling 298-1617.
