AU to host blood drive Tuesday
ANDERSON — Anderson University will host an Indiana Blood Drive on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kardatzke Wellness Center.

Retired teachers set pitch-in for May 12
ANDERSON — Madison County Retired Teachers will have a pitch-in on Monday, May 12, at Davis Park Shelter House, Indiana 32 (east of Layton Road). Lunch begins at noon, and each member is asked to bring a dish to share. Chicken, drinks and tableware will be furnished.
Glenda Ritz, state superintendant of schools, will be the speaker. A business meeting will follow, including presentation of slate of officers and collecting for a scholarship.

Alexandria Care Day on May 17
ALEXANDRIA — The annual spring cleanup in Alexandria is planned at 8 a.m. at Harrison Park.
This event began more than 25 years ago and will include planting flowers, painting fire hydrants, pulling weeds, sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash and cleaning up parking lots.

LifeStream to host Extra Help, Medicare savings sessions
YORKTOWN — LifeStream Services will host events throughout east central Indiana that can assist qualifying Medicare recipients with applications for paying for prescription drugs as well as paying for Medicare Part A and B, co-pays and deductibles.
Information sessions will be on May 14 at CrownPointe Health Care in Anderson from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Pendleton Library from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments are needed.
