Christian rap artist in free concert

ANDERSON — Full Gospel Church, 5105 Columbus Ave., will have a free concert featuring Christian rap artist Mr. Testimony at 6 p.m. this evening. The artist is a motivational speaker as well as an author.

A dinner will be served following the concert. Everyone is welcome.

Sunday service to have Scottish flair

ANDERSON — First Presbyterian Church, 230 W. Ninth St., invites residents to celebrate worship at the 10:20 a.m. service Sunday. The church's ninth annual “Kirkin’ O’ the Tartans" service will be presented.

Methodist minister Frank Cramer, who was instrumental in bringing this service to First Presbyterian, will be giving the message and preaching on “Sharing a Heritage.”

There will be a processional with acolytes, a beadle, a bagpiper (Jeff Renfro), and clergy. The Chancel Bell Choir will ring “Gaelic Melody." The service will use prayers from the Scottish confession.

A celebration lunch of fried chicken will be served afterward in Fellowship Hall. All are welcome.

McMillions perform at Gethsemane service

ANDERSON — Gethsemane Foursquare, 2320 E. 38th St., will have Russ and Louise McMillion singing at its 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship service.

Parkview Nazarene to host benefit concert

ANDERSON — Parkview Nazarene at 10th Street and Rangeline Road will host a benefit concert on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Featured will be its own gospel quartet, "The Appointed Quartet." Along with the quartet will be soloists, duets and trios from Parkview's own choir.

A love offering will be taken, with the proceeds going to their Work & Witness team to travel to Gary, W.Va., this summer and to cover building materials to repair homes for families in that area.

Frankton to host Indiana Gospel Festival concert

FRANKTON — The Indiana Gospel Music Festival, a statewide organization dedicated to the promotion of gospel music, has chosen Frankton as the site of their third spring preview concert. The preview concerts are designed to showcase some of the singing ministries that will appear at the main July festival.
