Take an adventure to meet critters

ANDERSON — On Saturday, June 14, the Friends of Mounds State Park will host "Critter Junction Animal Adventures" in the Multipurpose Room at the Nature Center at Mounds State Park. The adventure will start at 1 p.m. and the cost is $4 (under 2 free). Participants can meet a cockatoo, alligator, ferret, bearded dragon and many other interesting animals.

Seating is limited, so come early. The standard park entrances of $5 per in-state vehicle and $7 per out-of-state vehicle apply.

Buy books by the bag

ANDERSON — The Friends of the Library book sale will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 13-14, on the third floor of the Anderson Public Library, 111 E. 12th St.

There will be a 50-cent bag sale. All fiction paperbacks will be 50 percent off. All proceeds benefit library programs. The group is looking for volunteers.

All-you-can-eat fish dinner planned

ANDERSON — The Madison County 40&8 Voiture 510, 1600 S. Rangeline Road will host an all-you-can-eat fish dinner on Friday, June 20, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Price is $8.

Dinner includes fish, green beans or baked beans, cole slaw and a roll. Carry-outs are available.

MUNCIE — Create a sweet and tart treat using fresh produce that will be a scrumptious addition to any recipe collection at Canning Workshop: Rhubarb Jam on June 18. Sample this delicious summer treat while experiencing how simple this recipe can be made to share with loved ones.

Spend an evening having fun with friends while trying a new recipe at Minnetrista Canning Workshop: Rhubarb Jam on June 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $25 per person. Member discounts apply. Register by June 16 to reserve your spot.
