Produce giveaway is today

ANDERSON — The Anderson Impact Center in collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank will have a fresh produce giveaway today at 2 p.m., while supplies last, at The Anderson Impact Center, 630 Nichol Avenue. Individuals are encouraged to bring their own bags.

Class of '60 to meet Thursday

ANDERSON — The Anderson High School class of 1960 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Perkins restaurant, 5033 S. Scatterfield Road. All are welcome.

Secret Families to Host Benefit Ride and Community Dinner

ANDERSON — Secret Families of Madison County will host a Motorcycle Benefit Ride and Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, July 13. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. at Madison Park Church of God, and the ride will start at noon. A registration fee of $10 per rider and $5 per passenger will go to support Secret Families. The ice-cream themed ride will include stops at Cammack Station, Ivanhoe's and Fraziers.

Following the ride, the public is invited to a community meal at Madison Park from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring live entertainment by The Campbells, a local family of musicians. The meal will include spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, beverage and dessert for a donation of $10.

All proceeds from the ride and dinner will benefit Secret Families of Madison County. Arts center plans ice cream social

ANDERSON — The Anderson Center for the Arts' Ice Cream Social will be held on Wednesday, July 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Citizens Park Plaza. The cost is $5 for homemade dessert and ice cream and $8 for a premium hot dog, chips, dessert, ice cream, and drink.
