Neise assumes dental practice

PENDLETON — Dr. Jennifer Neise has taken over Dr. Douglas Johnson’s family dental practice in Pendleton since his retirement from general dentistry on June 1.

Neise graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry with distinction in 1999. She has been practicing dentistry for 14 years, including the past several years in Dr. Johnson’s office.

Neise is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Indiana Dental Association, the East Central Dental Society, and the OKU Honor Dental Society. The practice is currently accepting new patients and offers a wide range of dental services for the entire family, including single visit crowns, digital x-rays, and sedation dentistry.

Hemberger joins United Way

ANDERSON — Karen Hemberger has joined United Way of Madison County as Vice President for Community Impact.

Prior to coming to United Way of Madison County, she served as the Director of Agency Relations and Community Investment for the United Way of Delaware County. Hemberger was actively involved in the B-5 Early Childhood initiative, serving as the co-chair of the Family Engagement subcommittee and on the Steering Committee. Prior to that, she served as the VP of Affiliate Programs and Services for Mental Health America of Indiana, where she oversaw the Mental Health Ombudsman program and was the Indiana Director for Campaign for America’s Mental Health.

Hemberger received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Indiana University and a Masters of Public Affairs with a concentration in Non-Profit Management from IUPUI.

Hemberger resides in Daleville with her daughter.

Sparks named sales agent of the month

ANDERSON — Jada Sparks, a real estate professional for Carpenter Realtors was honored to receive Sales Agent of the Month for July 2013.

She was presented with a certificate highlighting her achievement as Sales Agent of the Month.
