Gospel concert in Frankton

FRANKTON — Indiana Gospel Music Festival will present a fall concert in Frankton at 6 p.m. Saturday, in the Community Room of the Factory across from the First United Methodist Church located at 109 S. Eighth St., Frankton.

In concert will be Zion’s Joy, The McQueens, Mark Vice, His Voice Through Us and Minister’s Quartet.

There is no admission. However, a free will offering will be taken. Proceeds go toward a two-day gospel festival to be held next summer.

This concert is open to the public.

Alex Thanksgiving service Sunday

ALEXANDRIA — The Alexandria Ministerial Association will have its annual community-wide Thanksgiving Service at 6 p.m. Sunday at The Commons Theatre, 204 W. Church St.

The public is invited to attend as clergy from various churches in Alexandria offer the service. The choir will consist of people from various churches as well. A free-will offering will be received for ERF, the local food pantry.

Dubbled Family performs in Fortville

FORTVILLE — The Mark Dubbeld Family will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Fortville Church of the Nazarene, 701 S. Maple St.

The concert is free. However, a love offering will be received for the group's ministry.

The Mark Dubbeld Family consists of Vincent, 21, Leighton, 19, Elena, 15, Channing, 11, and Britton, 8. Each of them play an active role in the ministry — singing, playing the drums, bass and acoustic guitar.

First Presbyterian begins Advent activities

ANDERSON — First Presbyterian Church, 230 W. 9th St., begins its celebration of our Savior’s birth with a Advent Craft fair and chili cook-off. Time will be provided following the 10:20 a.m. service for children and adults to create crafts reflecting the season of Advent and the birth of Christ. The deacons will sponsor the church's annual Chili Cook-Off following the Advent Fair.

The Knapp Family, Jason and Betty, will bring the message this week on “Water for Life,” from John 4:7-15. The Chancel Choir will sing “I Hear the Words of Love.”

Pastor Aid program set Sunday

ANDERSON — New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 2318 Sheridan St., will have its Pastor Aid program at 4 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be Pastor Stanford Bolden and the Trinity Victory Baptist Church of Marion.

Pastor is S.I. Foard.
