AU presents kickoff lecture for Bible exhibit

ANDERSON — Anderson University presents a kickoff lecture for its fall St. John's Bible exhibit on Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at Decker Hall, Room 133.

The lecture is by John Lawrence, consultant of medieval manuscripts.

A talk-back luncheon will immediately follow the lecture in the Olt Student Center, Kane Dining Room. Lunch is $5.

The event is sponsored by the Anderson University Honors Program.

Impact Center to host stress workshop

ANDERSON — The Anderson Impact Center is partnering with Intersect to offer a stress management workshop, “Your Raw Coping Power, Stress Problem Solving and You,” on April 22 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at 630 Nichol Ave. (formerly Robinson Elementary).

Topics include identifying the effects of stress, personal coping style, and healthy alternatives for dealing with stress. Snacks will be served, so RSVP to 356-9497.

Liberty Christian holding auction

ANDERSON — Liberty Christian School is hosting its eighth annual benefit auction, “Duck-Tacular,” on Saturday, April 26, at Mounds Mall (in former Sears store). Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

There will be a silent auction and a live auction with Dennis Jackson, auctioneer.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at either campus office or at the door. Food will be available from food trucks.

Excel Center hosts opportunity fair

ANDERSON — The Excel Center is holding an "Opportunity Fair" on Monday, April 21, at 10 a.m.

More than 25 community organizations, including colleges and universities, Goodwill Education Initiatives, Inc., the United Way of Madison County, armed forces recruiters, and community health and resource groups will be available to inform students and the public about local college and job planning services.

The Excel Center-Anderson, at 630 Nichol Ave., is a tuition-free school for adults who want to earn a high school diploma. For more information, contact the center at (317) 524-3930.
